| LIFE IN SOLERA | DECEMBER 2022 | 25 Al and I hope you are all staying healthy and safe, and we want to wish all of you a very happy holiday this season. More than ever, I am committed to delivering fun and fellowship through my Card Art 101 sessions. The November Holiday Card Art Event was a sure success. We had so much fun putting the holiday cards together, eating, and all around laughing. Fake ice goes a long way (joke of the day). It was great to see some new faces. Thank you all again for all the applause and appreciation. It brought tears to my eyes then, when I told Al about it, and even now. I'm so glad you loved all my creations. I've chosen a few of my favorite cards from that session to display here this month. My three-card classes are always the first, third and fifth Thursdays of the month, but because of the holidays, we will only be having two classes in December. Mark your calendars for Thurs., Dec. 1 and Thurs., Dec. 15. We meet in the Arts & Crafts Room at 1 pm. The cost is still only $10. As always, I will be designing, cutting and placing everything you need in your kits. I always have extra supplies on hand if you need to purchase glue or crafting tools. Please come and join in the fun. Those of you on my email list will be getting an email to confirm your attendance. If you wish to be added to the email notification list, please email me at scrappinvall@yahoo. com, or call or text my cell phone, (951) 231- 3991. ~ Vallarie Clegg CARD ART 101 QUILTERS We meet each Monday at 12 pm in the Arts & Crafts Room. December brings lots of activity for our group. Several ladies have participated in the Christmas tree decorating our Clubhouse. A Christmas party is planned and we are all looking forward the festivities. Many quilters continue to donate time, talent, and quilts to many charitable agencies, especially Winter Wish. New patterns and individual creations were displayed all through November. The talents of many of our gals have gone beyond quilts to counted cross stitch and English paper piecing. If you are new to Solera and are interested in what we do, please stop by any Monday between 12 and 3 pm and let us get to know you.
