| OHCC LIVING | DECEMBER 2022 | 11 As the snow falls blanketing our northern neighbors' homes, we celebrate this beautiful month listening to the crashing surf, hiking a deserted trail, or simply breathing in the crisp morning air as we walk our dog in the quietness of our village street. The sun is peaking its colorful face above the roofs to the east, but the houses have yet to awaken. Life is good, and we are blessed to have found this place where we live. One of those blessings is our library where the doors are always open, offering a respite from the busy holiday season. News Flash: The library staff wants to know if there are any existing book clubs that would like to advertise in the library. The staff would be willing to post your list and information. • Contact information for your club. • Are you open to new members? • When does your club meet? • What is the genre of most of the books you read? • What are the titles of books for the upcoming year? Do Dues Day is just around the corner. If, however, you pay your dues before the end of 2022, membership will be credited for the entire 2023 year. Get a couple of extra months for your money. "Such a deal!" Are you interested in being on the Library Board? We are looking for someone to help us maintain our website. You will enjoy meeting and working with a great group of people and joining a very worthwhile effort to bring our community the wonderful world of books. How to reserve a library book: If you are in the library, go to the red binder on the counter, find the tab that reads "Reserve a Book." There you will find a white form. Fill out the form. How to request a book to be purchased: If you want the library staff to purchase a new book, go to the red binder on the counter, find the tab that says purchase a book and fill out the information on the pink form. Books for purchase must have a copyright date within the last two years. How to reserve a book online: • Go to the oceanhillscountryclub.com website. • Log in as a resident. • Go to the Recreation tab at the top and select Social Clubs. • You will see a grid with all the clubs. Click on Library and "Reserve a Book." • If you wish us to purchase a new book, click on new books and follow the instructions.
