We're excited for our upcoming concert, "Celebrate the Light!" We hope you'll come and join us as we sing a fun selection of traditional holiday songs all meant to bring joy and cheer to your holiday season. The concert is on Sunday afternoon at 2 pm in Abravanel Hall. Bring your family and friends and join us in singing some favorite holiday tunes as we close in a traditional sing- along. Admission is free. We're also looking forward to our Cast Party on Dec. 15 at 5:30 pm. We'll be honoring the A/V team at that time for all of their wonderful support. Theatre Arts' mission is to provide live theatre to our residents, and provide we did! We hosted a very special evening in November, including Sally Benton's Encore Players. It was a resounding success. Thanks to all the performers, including Janie Arens, Larry Bean, Harvey Bernstein, Debby Cea, Brad Davidson, Michael Gordon, Sunny Griffin, Charmayne Huntley, Jan Kawal, Marla Reiter, Karla Sando, Tony Sando, Jack Shabel, Taka Stevens, Valerie Thompson, Mike Cea (guitar) and Sheri McMurry (piano). A special shout-out to the backstage and audio/visual team, including Myrna Webber, Joan Bivin, and Anthony Scalisi. Brava to our 2023 Board: Jean Hefler, President, Lois Powazek, Vice-President, Phyllis Buvel, Treasurer, and Naomi B Katz, Secretary. Lisa Malec promises to bring us exciting and enlightening entertainment in 2023, including singers, dancers, comedians, theatre and storytelling. Keep your eyes, ears and email open for details. Ros Nesler, party princess supreme, is once again at it by hosting our winter dinner dance, "Holly Jolly Holiday Party," Dec. 5. Your $10 admission entitles you to enjoy an evening among friends and ambiance with dance music from Ricky Rivas. BYOE. We'll provide the coffee. See below and check your email for details. Come and enjoy the magic of the holiday season! Sally Benton's acting classes are Wednesdays, from 1:30 to 3:30 pm in the Majorca Room. All Theatre Arts members are welcome to attend! Regular Board meetings are held the third Wednesday of the month at 11 am, and are open to all Theatre Arts members, so please do come and join us.
