As I write this article there are two weeks left in the Fall Tournament,
plus the play-offs on Nov. 21 and 22. As you read this, the Fall
Tournament has ended and we are into our holiday break before the
Winter Tournament. This Tournament has been an interesting one,
with several new teams joining us and competing. Again, a warm
welcome to the newbies! Hope you enjoyed your debut to the Bocce
Ball Club!
The Winter Tournament begins the week of Jan. 16, 2023. It will
run eight weeks, with play-offs March 6 and 7. There will be a time
change in an effort to play in the 'warmer' part of the day. Play will
be at 1, 2, and 3 pm, 4 pm if needed, although we have never had
enough teams to need the later time in the winter. Sign-ups for the
tournament must be in by Jan. 7, and, as usual, the team entry cards
can be found in the bocce cabinet. Club dues must be paid again,
$12 for the year, plus the team fee which is $3 per player for each
tournament. This entry card and monies should be taken to 1288
Pleasant Valley. There is a box at the door for the entries. If your team
remains intact for the year then your entry card remains valid for the
entire year. Any changes made in any of the following tournaments
must be in writing on a new card.
