| SUN LAKES LIFESTYLES | DECEMBER 2022 | 19 Thank Goodness If you have seen an act of kindness or have been on the receiving end, please share your experience with the community. Let's spread gratitude! Go to the Main Clubhouse Lobby and drop your note in the box labeled "Thankful and Grateful." There are forms in the Main Clubhouse or you can fill out the box below and take that to the Main Clubhouse. You can also email sunlakesnews@ yahoo.com and write "Gratitude" in the subject line. Let's spread some sunshine! Expressing Gratitude I'm grateful for Dorrie Gartzke at 6029 Spanish Trail Cove. She collects cans and bottles to recycle. The money raised goes to the Pass Action Group to fight the warehouse. She is helping all of us — every little bit helps! Donna Baker I'm grateful for Leo who keeps doing his job with a smile. He's always helpful and works hard. Thank you Leo! Scott and Val Logan I'm grateful to all Sun Lakes Veterans. Thank you for your service, for your sacrifices, for protecting us, and for defending our rights. You are not forgotten, and we will always be grateful to you for all that you have given to this country. "Some gave all and all gave some." MarySue Caron (respectful and grateful citizen, Sun Lakes resident and wife of a Marine) I'm grateful to Kelly Curtis and his group of hikers who keep Old Glory flying high and proud over Sun Lakes. Your dedication is very much appreciated by all who love and respect our flag! Your journey up the hill has been, and continues to be, challenging every time you willingly do it, and all of you need to be recognized and thanked each and every time. I personally look for Old Glory every time I drive back into our Sun Lakes community. I say a prayer for all service men and women, past and present, who have sacrificed much to protect our country and our flag. Thank you to Kelly and the hikers. MarySue Caron, a grateful resident This might sound silly, but for the 18 years I've lived here, I have always felt safe, protected, secure, and welcomed. I believe that should I find myself in a situation of distress that many fellow residents will swarm to my assistance. It's comfortable to live in a community that pulls together, that shares together, and that binds together and does many things that gives seniors security and pleasure for the balance of their lives.
