24 | SUN LAKES LIFESTYLES | DECEMBER 2022 |
We find ourselves in December already. The year seems to have
just flown by. With so many upcoming events, grab your pen and
calendar and make notes. We must check every day so as not to miss
a party!
Speaking of which, our Paper Crafters' annual holiday party will be
Mon., Dec. 5 in the North Clubhouse and will begin at 5 pm. Some
things you should know about the party: we are required (per our
holiday organizer chief of staff ) to wear a holiday-themed decorated
hat. I understand prizes will be given out for the most unusual, the
ugliest, and the prettiest. We are also to bring a new, wrapped gift,
valued at $20-ish, if you want to participate in the gift exchange.
It will be a potluck dinner and we voted to bring hearty appetizers
to share. BYOB, if desired. There will be games with prizes, beautiful
decorations, and who knows what else, but guaranteed to elicit
merriment and hilarity. 'Tis the season!
In addition to our party on Dec. 5 and our monthly luncheon Dec.
8, we will meet three times for our regular get-togethers. They will be
on Tuesday, Dec. 6, and Mondays, Dec. 19 and 26. Make sure to put all
these dates on your calendar.
We look ahead to next year when our meeting schedule will make
more sense. We will only be meeting on Mondays — the first, third,
fourth, and sometimes a fifth Monday of the month. Something new:
our first January meeting will be in the Bus Room on Mon., Jan. 2.
This will be the norm for 2023. The first Monday of each month will
always be in the Bus Room. All other Monday meetings will be in
our regular location, the Multipurpose Room. This is a change from
previous years, so make a note of that.
There is no cost to join, just stop by and say hello. Contacts for this
group are Elaine Perkins at (951) 334-3119 or Sallie Flesher at (951)
902-9768.
