FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | DECEMBER 2022 45 We want all Breeze readers to know how truly outstanding the women in this Bible study have shown themselves to be. Not only are they consistent attendees, but their wisdom and comments add immensely to each class study. If any of you amazing women out there would like to join this remarkable group of good women, please come by the Game Room any Friday at 10:30 am and join us for a great discussion and overall learning from each other. We are presently studying the Book of Proverbs, compiled by King Solomon, and also contributed to by King Hezekiah. Since some of the proverbs are difficult to interpret or understand, the women have been challenged to "rephrase" the proverbs to better understand them today. Some of the "rephrases" have been enlightening and beautiful, and some have been very clever, eliciting laughter. Thank you to all the ladies who so diligently study each lesson. We will finish Proverbs sometime at the end of March 2023. We will be dark the day after Thanksgiving this year, as well as Dec. 23 and 30, due to holiday celebrations with our families. We will resume on Jan. 6, 2023, with a very amazing lesson time: the ladies will be volunteering to share some of the miracles they have experienced in their lives. It will be an exceptional experience for sure. This Bible study is non-denominational, and any version of the Bible is accepted. Please consider joining this amazing group of beautiful women of God. ~ Eileen Gilbert-Antoine, (951) 922-6829 or egcellent@msn.com "Believe…" Women's Bible Study Bereavement Group When you deal with a loss, everything can seem overwhelming. There are things you can try to help soothe and calm your emotions. The ones I will mention in this article are just some that you might choose to try. This is part three of a three-part series. Here are some other strategies for handling grief. If you used to participate in a hobby prior to your loss, now is the time to think about going back to it. If it doesn't feel like something you want to do, explore new hobbies. You could try line dancing, bird watching, or hiking clubs just to see if you enjoy any of them. If so, great. If not, try something else. Consider this a time to explore new interests and enjoy the benefit of being with others instead of being alone. Over the past three months, you have been provided with some strategies for dealing with grief. Pick and choose what feels right for you. You should accept your emotions and let them pass, try old activities, or even some new ones. Join a bereavement group, seek out a faith-based group, and don't hesitate to contact your primary care physician or insurance for outside psychological support if you feel you need it. There is no right or wrong way to grieve. There is no right or wrong emotion. Each person has to go through their own process for grieving for whatever amount of time it takes. You never get over the loss of your loved one, but, over time, you can get involved in things, redefine your life, and be happy in a new or different way. The Bereavement Group meets on Mondays at 1 pm in RCN Room 3. If you have any questions feel free to call Becky KG at (951) 524- 0215 or email at beckykg_1@yahoo.com. All contact is confidential. The Bereavement Group is on a hiatus through December. We will be starting up again on Monday, Jan. 9, 2023. If you are interested in joining the group during the hiatus, please contact me by phone or email. I will call and remind you when the group is starting after the first of the year. I look forward to seeing you then. Happy holidays! ~ Becky Kotzin-Gustafson Jewish Cultural Club The Jewish Cultural Club 2022 Hanukkah Party is Dec. 20 at 7 pm in The Lodge.
