FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | DECEMBER 2022 41 Country Line Dancing Step it Up Line Dancing Our group had a wonderful early holiday party with good food and lots of dancing. Some of us really need to learn to sit down occasionally and not dance until we are ready to drop. But when you love to dance, that is a hard decision to make when you love the song being played. Elizabeth and Phillip Westbrook are going to be traveling some next year and are leaving as our advance class instructors. I want to thank them for the years they have taught the class and the many new dances they brought to us. They will be greatly missed. Be sure to read the January Breeze to see how we are revamping the classes. I wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! ~ Martha Franck, marthafranck@icloud.com, (714) 345-8588 December is here and so are the holidays. It's been a fun year after so long without dancing because of Covid and my knee surgery. I want to thank everyone in class for hanging with me through the painful year. It's amazing how good my knee is now, like I never had a problem. For those of you considering knee replacement surgery, I highly recommend it as it changed my life. I've got a new basic beginner class starting Jan. 9, so if you want to learn to dance, plan on joining us at 1 pm on Monday. I also have a Wednesday night class at 6:30 pm, so we'll be starting fresh on Jan. 11 that night. We have learned so many new dances and we're having a great time doing it. We've had many new people coming to class and, like I said last month, a good amount of men wanting to learn. Let's keep it up. Our holiday dinner party is Jan. 20 and is sure to be as fun as the others. I wanted to wait until some of the madness is over in December to have our party. Everyone is welcome to attend and I will have the cost in the next Breeze article. We hope you can join us for this really fun night of dinner and lots of dancing. They don't call these Barn Burners for nothing! For information, call me at (949) 326-3133. ~ Janine Rohrbacker Let's Dance! Winter Wonderland, the club-sponsored Holiday Dance, is Friday, Dec. 9. Doors will open at 4 pm. Dinner will be served at 5 pm. Dancing will be from 5:30 to 8:30 pm. We will be dancing to the music of The Marvels. The Ballroom will be decorated as a winter wonderland, so come and enjoy a visual treat. There will be a full dinner, live band, a photo corner to take some pictures, and of course lots of dancing! Tickets are ready to be purchased. Contact information is on the flyer at The Lodge and in the Activities Blast. So dust off those dancing shoes and come and join us! In December, we have one class on Dec. 5. The class will be the waltz and a review of dances. What a great time to brush up on your dancing for the Winter Wonderland Holiday Dance. We meet in The Lodge Ballroom every Monday evening with open practice and review from 6 to 6:30 pm. Beginner class is from 6:30 to 7:05 pm with intermediate class from 7:05 to 8:05 pm. The cost is only $10 per person for professional instruction and you are welcome to stay for the entire class.
