Wine Club By Sharon Evans, 951 445-3861 The Colony Cousins Genealogy Club will be meeting this month on Tuesday, Jan. 10 at 1 pm in the Annex. Our speaker is the highly- educated, experienced and always informative Jean Wilcox Hibben, M.A., PhD. The topic is "Seeing with Both Sides of the Eye: Critical Thinking about What is being Viewed." Because family history can be very personal to many of us — after all, our forebears had to be exceptional people, right? — we tend to look at evidence with an emotional component employed in our evaluation. However, sometimes it is necessary to get more objective in our analysis and view information with an unbiased approach. Easier said than done, but not impossible. Get some ideas of how that can be accomplished from this lecture. Jean is President and Webmaster of the Corona Genealogical Society, Past President of the Southern California Chapter of the Association of Professional Genealogists, and a volunteer for the Corona Family History Center. In addition, she is a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, the Genealogical Speakers Guild, the Association of Professional Genealogists, and the National Genealogical Society. Visitors are always welcome to come and join if interested. Members and visitors alike are advised to sign in at 12:45 pm. For more information, please call President Lennie Martin at 503-269-9987.
