Here we are in a new year. Lots of things are
happening in The Colony, and I think one of the
things that makes The Colony the best place in
the area are the residents. So many of you give
back to The Colony by joining a committee or
club or just participating in some of the many
activities we enjoy.
Most do the "smile and wave" which was
started by some of the Founders and still
continues today. All the activities here make
this a very welcome environment for new and
old residents alike.
A person can always find a group that matches
their interest, whether tennis, pickleball, cards,
Bingo, or the many side trips that are offered.
Also, the staff is top notch and is always
willing to help.
So, as we start into this new year, I think it is a
good time to count our blessings and really get
into The Colony spirit. Participate in activities
that will enable you to meet new friends, help
a neighbor when you see they might need that
help.
Life is short and we need to live our life to the
fullest. Sometimes people tell me that I am too
optimistic about it all, but I say it's better to be
optimistic and have a happier tomorrow than
to dwell on any problem areas.
I wish everyone a Happy New Year and
hope that 2023 is good for all of us.
