| THE COLONY NEWS | JANUARY 2023 | 5 HOA STAFF PROFILE: KIMBERLY EVANS By Joanne Deacon Kimberly is The Colony's fountain of knowledge and wisdom and imparts both graciously with a touch of humor. She is an optimist who seeks the good in everyone and is a stabilizing force for The Colony Staff. However, if you're going to argue a point – have your facts 'cause the lady holds her own. And we love her for it! In Kimberly's own words: Happy New Year Colony family! My name is Kimberly Evans, and I am the Office Manager and Administrative Assistant to General Manager Jim Morgan. I have worked for The Colony for almost two decades (18 years come 01/21/23) and as some say, I know where all the bones are buried. Lol! I love my job and I love my Colony Family. My favorite part of my job is performing my broad range of administrative duties and interacting with the residents (I genuinely love people). Just a little background on me — I obtained my bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix, So. Cal. in 2007. I am a certified Notary Public and recently, a Notary Signing Agent. I grew up in Long Beach, CA, with a loving family, fun friends and great memories. I have four wonderful children: Siara – 29, Josiah – 21, Kymari – 18, and Jaden – 15. They are my pride and joy and the wind beneath my wings. Also, in May of 2022, I became engaged to my amazing fiancé Christopher, and we are planning to marry some time in 2023. I enjoy going to concerts, comedy clubs, trying new restaurants and traveling. I also love going to Disneyland as this amusement park has always been my happy place. I have great faith in Jesus Christ and enjoy studying the Bible and reading biographical, financial, and historical books, watching Nat Geo documentaries, decorating my home, and gardening. I enjoy assisting and donating to charitable organizations and demonstrating random acts of kindness. With all that being said, I am far from perfect, but each day I try and become a better version of myself. My mantra of recent is: Love all, pray often and forgive quickly.
