Golf Club From the President, Tom Moore: At the time of this writing we do not have the final results from our Board of Directors election so, as the president for the 2022 term, it's my responsibility to compose the Hemet Four Seasons Golf Club's article to the January 2023 edition of The Herald. No matter the results of our election, I'm declaring 2023 to be The Year of the Volunteer. As a club, we have been relying on the same people to manage the day-to-day operations of this club for far too long. I've been told that one of the reasons for the diminishing participation in our weekly games is that the club has become "stale." In my opinion the reason for this malaise is due to very few members being interested in taking on any of the various positions within the club. I am not saying that our current board members aren't doing a great job, they're doing a fantastic job! I am saying that we need a little "new blood," and HELP. We need an injection of fresh ideas. I don't necessarily mean that you must make a full year's commitment, I'm referring to volunteering to chair or serve on one of the various committees, for example arranging the twice annual "away" games, or serving on our annual Benefit Tournament, or maybe helping out with the Social Committee. There is so much you can do for our club, so let's share the load. This is OUR club, and we all have a responsibility to work together to keep it the top-notch club that it currently is. So, step up, get more involved in our club — let's make 2023 the greatest year EVER! From the Tournament Chair, Elliot Yaeger: Play begins at 8 am on Tuesdays.
