| OHCC LIVING | JANUARY 2023 | 9 Ocean Hills Country Club Buffer Zones If the back of your home doesn't face the golf course, chances are good that your back yard looks out on a swath of greenery, rather than someone else's yard. Our homes are on what is termed "Zero lot lines" which means that at least one side of the building is on the property line, resulting in our homes being very close together. This swath of greenery makes the area feel more expansive without adding to your yard-work, so that you can spend more time at the Clubhouse, having fun. These buffer zones behind our homes are maintained by the Landscape Committee, an arm of the Master Board, and our Landscape Director, Kathy Guzman, who is an employee of Keystone, our HOA management company. If you happen to see a plant or tree that needs help, water leaking, or some other problem in one of these areas, please fill out a work order at the HOA office so that it can be promptly taken care of by your Landscape Committee. Regular maintenance of these areas is done on a rotating basis by the O'Connel Company, who is doing a wonderful job with a shorter staff. Maintenance of our front yards is taken care of by our separate villages. Landscape Committee Your Community Marketing and Image Committee welcomes the new year with ongoing and new recommendations. Slated for 2023 is work on our resident website and updates to our new residents folder. As work moves forward on the new Lanai, we are working on recommendations for remodeling the two outdoor restrooms. Our maintenance team continues great work on previously identified needs within the Clubhouse, and as budgets open up, we hope all bathrooms will receive much needed updates this year. In depth work was completed by the CIMC on the renaming of Leisure Village Way but tabled for future review due to the attention and costs to complete the golf course and lake. Unfortunately, the new black and white graphic photos purchased this year for our work out room continues to be vandalized, ripped off the walls and put outside adjacent to the pool entrance. Security is aware, however if you see something, say something! As the CIMC goes into its third year as a new standing committee appointed by the master board, new resident involvement is a must going forward. CIMC collaborates with any and all committees and clubs to work on any need and present fresh new ideas to the Master Doard for review. Be on the lookout in January for emails asking for your application of interested homeowners. Here's to the best of 2023 in OHCC.
