Village Vets
We had a fantastic Village Vets Holiday Party on Dec. 10 with lots of
participation from military personnel invited from Camp Pendleton.
The party in Abravanel Hall was catered by the Village Kitchen & Pie
Shoppe from Carlsbad. The seven musicians the of Arrowhead Band
supplied the wonderful music for the evening entertainment.
Our next Village Vets General Meeting will be in Abravanel Hall on
Thurs., Jan. 26, 2023, and will feature someone recently in the news.
It is the new President of the Army and Navy Academy in Carlsbad,
retired US Army Major General Peggy Combs. She will talk about
her 33 years of military experience and the history of the Academy,
the boy-focused learning approach, and what sets the Academy
apart from other private schools. Our meeting will begin at 3 pm.
All residents are invited to our first general meeting of the year.
Refreshments will be served.
Please don't forget to join the Village Vets Club on Do Dues Day,
Sat., Jan. 14. You don't have to be a Vet to support our activities
throughout the year. Our annual Dues are $10 per person, and we
will be glad to have you with us.

the cost of the service.
