FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | JANUARY 2023 47 The Four Seasons Rainbow Group continues in our mission to support the local residents who identify as LGBTQ+ and anyone else interested in our community. We usually meet on the fourth Thursday of the month in the Ballroom. We introduce new members, share stories or news that might be of interest to the membership, occasionally hold potlucks, and host themed movie nights. We will gladly entertain ideas from anyone. Lastly, if you haven't already joined our Four Seasons Beaumont Rainbow Facebook group, please do so. Both avenues will keep you updated on any late-breaking developments, events and details of our monthly activity. ~ David Esquerre Rainbow Group Platonic Pals Do you know of someone who has recently moved in, someone who has lost a spouse or partner, someone who is sick or disabled? Maybe somebody needs a ride somewhere or they need to get groceries or medicine. Perhaps someone is alone and having a bad day and just needs a phone call or someone to talk to or a quick visit. Whatever the reason — if someone needs any kind of help or needs a pal or for more info on the pal program or to become a pal, call Joni at (661) 390-5512 or Candi at (562) 587-6591, and we will sign you up or send a pal to you. ~ Joni Truelsen Two key dates are upcoming for the Photography Club. First, on Jan. 28, we will have a table at the Club Fair, a great chance to meet Club members to hear about our plans and to tell us your vision for the Photography Club. We look forward to hearing your ideas. The second key date is Thursday, Feb. 2. We are holding our first in-person meeting. The meeting information to be published soon. As we said in the last few months, we are taking the club in new directions. We plan to focus on cell phone photography for the first meetings. Howard Levine is developing our outstanding cell phone presentation. It will cover using the cell phone through proper photo techniques and post-editing. We will also explain the various types of cell phones and their capabilities. For those interested, we welcome you to submit one cell phone picture to introduce yourself.
