Quilting Enthusiasts Peace, love, and quilting! Our Quilting Enthusiasts group ended a very active fall season with a holiday potluck at the home of Carol Young. In October, Jeri Sorensen, Karen Reed, and Penny Key donated several small quilts and other quilted items for the Walk For Animals' raffle. In November, a beautiful patriotic quilt was made specifically for the Veterans Car Show raffle. It was won by a happy Ike Ericksen (at right). The quilt was a group effort by Susan Hagerman, Mary Moody-Cox, Carol Young, and Jeri Sorensen. January 2023 will find our group traveling to several local quilt shows such as the world famous Road To California show, in its 27th year at the Ontario Convention Center, Jan. 18 – 21, 2023. If you are enthusiastic about quilting or just interested in how to begin one of your own, please join us. We meet on the second Thursday of the month at 1 pm in The Lodge Arts & Crafts Room. Our next meeting is Jan. 12, 2023. Quilters of all levels are welcome. We also have our Sit n' Sew that day from 9 am to 4 pm. If you want company or extra hands as you sew, piece, cut, or layer your quilts, come along. Ceramics Class has something for the novice crafter looking for a new hobby or someone who has experience and wants to create unique designs or pieces for friends and family. In addition to individual projects, we offer class projects throughout the year to teach new techniques. Come and join in the fun. Drop by the Arts & Crafts Room to see our monthly ceramics class schedule and learn more about our upcoming class projects. We meet Wednesdays from 1 to 4 pm. Please see the class schedule for any exceptions. A certified instructor and/or an experienced team lead is available to support your crafting needs. Participation is at your own pace and frequency.
