54 FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | JANUARY 2023 Happy New Year from the Four Seasons Pickleball Club! We sure ended 2022 with a bang: a Four Seasons pickleball tournament not only for our members but ALSO pickleball players from outside our community. It was a huge success. We had 46 players vying for those coveted medals. Not to mention the great raffle prizes. Kelly Vucinic was the tournament coordinator. She, along with several very giving volunteers (with a special shout out to - Maggie Domico, Lydia Luna, Nancy Barnaby, and Gale Wardenski), organized and pulled this huge event off without a hitch. The end of 2022 also involved our highly- anticipated holiday extravaganza. As usual, it was well-attended and full of delicious food (catered by our very beloved Stacy from Kopper Kettle), topped off with lots of fun and fantastic dancing. I cannot start this year off without taking time out to remind everyone that it takes a village to run a Four Seasons club and that village is our very special and dedicated Pickleball Steering Committee. Our 2022 Committee included: President, Jesse Aceves; Co-chairs, Nancy Barnaby and Jim Allard; Communications, Marty (aka Martha) Keys, Yundell Montalvo, and Julie Staynor; Event, Kelly Vucinic and Lydia Luna; Instructors, Nancy Hessin, Daniel Edwards, and Jeromee Liebenberg; , Secretary, Irma Peterson; and our Treasurer Maggie Domico. Thank you each and everyone of you! You all are so devoted to making this club the big success it is, not to mention all the many volunteer hours you give. If you don't play pickleball, make a New Year's resolution to come out and play. We have a new kiosk in front of the pickleball courts that has lots of Pickleball Club info, including all the information you will need to get started.
