Four Seasons Veterans Park
We need help. In order to make changes and upgrade our park, we
need volunteers to fill positions like Treasurer and Secretary for our
club. We need to establish a bank account and an IRS account that is
tax-deductible so we can accept donations. We need a secretary so
we can record official minutes on the use of these funds. So, if you
want to help, volunteer.
January meant hard fighting in WWII, particularly in Europe
where the Battle of the Bulge was underway. In Korea the "Frozen
Chosen" were marching south away from Chinese forces who had
joined the fight. On 30 January 1968, North Vietnamese forces
initiated the TET Offensive to destabilize the South Vietnamese
country. The military offensive failed but became a political success
when reporters shaped the news to influence back home that the war
was lost. While the war continued to 1973, American participation
waned and eventually disappeared completely. North Vietnam
forces continued to march south and essentially "won" the war. ~
