FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | JANUARY 2023 51 Seasoned Solos The Seasoned Solos began the month with breakfast at Patsy's in Banning. The food was all fresh and tasty, the service was excellent, and the conversation among us was very enjoyable. A small group went to the Lifehouse Theater in Redlands for a performance of Noah. The musical was enjoyed by all, followed by a meal at The Spaghetti Factory. Dinner at the Tartan Room in Redlands has always offered great food and they did not let us down. It is such a wonderful and relaxing place for friends to gather and enjoy the food and each other's company. We had a huge turnout for our birthday lunch at Steer 'n Stein in Hemet, another place for great food. We have always enjoyed making the short drive and the birthday girls enjoyed a special ice cream treat. The last activity was a drive to the Mission Inn to enjoy The Festival of Lights in Riverside. The group had a wonderful time, beginning with the miracle of finding street parking very close to the event. The lights are always amazing, no matter how many times you go. It was wonderful to see the vendors and entertainment return this year, adding to the happy holiday feeling. The weather was perfect and the crowds were small. The Seasoned Solos is a wonderful group of single people who enjoy having fun and happy times with friends and forming new friendships. On our outings, we learn something new about each other and have found common interests in other groups or clubs within our beautiful Four Seasons community. Come join us at our next meeting on Friday, Jan. 6 at 6 pm in The Lodge Arts & Crafts Room. For information, please contact Joyce Olson at (951) 850-3055 or Nyla Cheely at (951) 285-7112. ~ Nyla Cheely At our November event, the Crown Divas started the holiday season by making wreaths. Our talented crafter, Diva Lady Glitter, taught us just how much fun it could be. Did you know you could make pretty wreaths for different holidays out of socks? For our Christmas wreaths, we used wire wreath frames, scissors, colorful green, red, and white socks, ribbons and boughs, small Christmas ornaments, and glitter. The atmosphere was like a busy and fun Santa Claus Workshop. While exchanging creative ideas with one another, we treated ourselves to some delicious appetizers, desserts, and beverages. When completed, each Diva's wreath had its own personal touch and no two were alike. You could tell the Divas were proud of their wreaths. They expressed their excitement to show them off, and rightly so. Thank you Lady Glitter for making the art project a learning and fun experience. Good job Divas! Happy New Year from the Crown Divas. ~ Irma Romero (Sugar Mama) Irmabsromero@gmail.com Crown Divas Red Hats Joyce Burmester and Phyllis Kates
