FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | JANUARY 2023 7 By Cindy Graves January is the month of new beginnings and, if possible, reassessment of where you should put your energy. How about making this a new season for new interests and meaningful investments? We will be hosting several events this month that will help you explore opportunities for this exciting new year. Mark Saturday, Jan. 28 from 10 am to 1 pm on your calendar for the Committee, Club, and Group Fair in the Ballroom. As far as meaningful investments, very few things rank as high as seeing your valuable input and expertise come to fruition in a project that truly benefits the whole community. One of the main reasons that this Four Seasons community has consistently ranked the number one active-adult community in Southern California is because of our wonderful residents who give back to the community to make it a better place. You are a treasure trove of resources for committees providing new ideas, new energies, and community unity through the relationships you build while working together. Be sure to stop by on Jan. 28 to talk to the folks representing the various committees. After you're done with that, go explore some of the many Clubs and Groups to see what piques your interests, like Art Classes, Photography Club, Billiards, Tennis, Quilting, and Crafting to name just a few. If fitness is your focus this year, check out the Fitness Expo on Jan. 14 from 9 am to 12 noon in the Ballroom. "For-The-Health-of- it" will explain and demonstrate the various classes they offer, like Kickboxing, Conditioning Class, Zumba, and Yoga. You'll have a chance to determine what classes might be the best match for your particular goals and get a chance to meet the wonderful instructors. If fun and entertainment tickle your fancy, then don't miss the ever- popular Gail Games with everybody's favorite emcee Gail Lindeboom on Friday, Jan. 13 at 6 pm in the Ballroom. This month she'll be hosting the Four Seasons version of Password. There will be prizes and tons of laughter! Bring a friend or come by yourself and enjoy the evening. Everyone is welcome and there is no price for admittance. You can't find a better deal! Karaoke will be on Saturday, Jan. 21 at 5 pm. How about making this the year you boldly have Dave Rohrbacker help you to sing Karaoke? This kind audience (your neighbors) are the perfect nurturing and encouraging folks to enable you to get up in front of people and sing your heart out. Who knows? You may be the next Dave Rohrbacker. Dave was not always the spotlight star that we see today. It was only a couple years ago that he took a chance and tried it and, lo and behold, here he is today! Give it go and remember that liquid courage seems to be helpful in the process. If travel is your passion, the Travel Club is holding a Travel Expo in the Ballroom on Jan. 21 from 10 am to 2 pm. Joni and Irene the leaders of the group have invited all kinds of travel vendors to come and share their best travel deals with you. You'll find some great travel opportunities both near and far. Come on over and check it! If crafting is your big thrill and you love to make things you'd like to sell at the Spring Craft Boutique, then be sure to mark your calendar for Wednesday, Jan. 25 at 6 pm for the MANDATORY Craft Vendor meeting. We will have an orientation and a lottery to draw for table space for the March 11 Craft Boutique. All residents who desire a table need to either come themselves or send a representative to pull a table number in the lottery. Hope to see you there. Happy January and best wishes picking out your new meaningful pursuits! Running a community this size would be absolutely impossible without the hard work and dedication of our resident volunteers. Has there been an area of management you feel is lacking within our community? Make real changes, first hand, by attending our upcoming Committee Fair. DID YOU KNOW the digital Breeze is available on the first week of every month from the Daily Report?
