Welcome to 2023. We hope this year brings good health, happiness, fun adventures, and memory-making moments. Being positive and enjoying life is what we all hope for, but sometimes the unexpected comes along and with this we need to be prepared for unexpected events. The Sun Lakes EPAP Team would like to make sure each resident has all the information on what to do in the event of a disaster. To help you prepare, EPAP has information and videos on the My Club - Sun Lakes Country Club website. This website is easy to navigate, if you have your login set up on the Sun Lakes Country Club HOA page (https://www.sunlakescc.com). Once you are logged into My Club-Sun Lakes Country Club account, scroll across the top and click on the Community Info tab. Scroll down to EPAP, click, and you are there. Once you have navigated to the EPAP page, you will find articles, the EPAP manual, class and training schedules, and several fact-filled videos. We would like to point out a few videos, which we find to be very helpful and answer many questions. The EPAP In Action video (top right) shows the viewer what EPAP is and how it works. For many of us in Sun Lakes, we have heard about EPAP and EOC, but really don't understand the full concept of it. Another really important video is about the File of Life (center right). Hopefully you have all received this bundle of forms included with the clear plastic magnetic sleeve… but why? This video will explain its importance and why it is vital to a first responder if or when they are called to your home. And last but not least, we highly recommend the 12 Steps to Disaster Preparedness (bottom right). This very informative video, presented by the Riverside County Preparedness Department, contains excellent facts and tips on how to ready your family and yourself in the event of an emergency. These are only three of the videos available on the EPAP page. Take a few moments to go through all of them. The information is incredibly valuable. And if you can't find the answer to your question, you may always contact your District EPAP Coordinator or call our EOC team at (951) 845-2965. They will be more than happy to get your questions answered. 8 | SUN LAKES LIFESTYLES | JANUARY 2023 | BEING PREPARED FOR 2023 Do you have bulky items you need to get rid of?
