I loved our Hometown Holiday event in December. It was a very full day for many. I want to thank everyone who volunteered to make the event a success. It was exciting to see so many residents bring their families out to share in the day. As many of you now know, I am a little crazy when it comes to my love of gingerbread men. I could not resist trying out my new suit. The smiles I encountered from children of ALL ages were more than I ever expected and filled my heart with so much joy. It was truly the highlight of my holiday season. Pictured below was an extra special treat because I have had the pleasure of watching these cuties grow through the years. The Hometown Holiday was just part of the day, the Golf Cart Parade was fantastic, and ending the night was the Vintage Voices Christmas Concert. A full house full of holiday spirit! I hope each of you were able to visit The Lodge and see all the magnificent trees. I don't know how the team does it but it just gets better and better. Maybe 2022 wasn't the best year, but WOW! The New Year's Eve party was one for the record books and could have easily put you on a new path for 2023! Thank you to the Social Committee and all the individuals that make this a great place to live and work. I have quickly become a fan of February. I am excited to say it is our third Annual Peanut Butter & Jelly Drive. Please consider donating peanut butter and jelly to our local food pantry, it is easy — just drop off the perfect pair in the bins located in The Lodge. The collection runs all month. 2023 marks the 20th Anniversary of Four Seasons at Hemet. As we start making plans to celebrate, I am asking any original owners to send me their stories. They can include where you moved from, why and what you like most, and/or any funny story. Please send them to my email: tracie.rodgers@fsresidential.com. A quick thought about my commute this morning as I am working against a deadline — I saw nine cranes (big white birds with long necks) in a group eating in the field. I ask myself why don't they spread out? I am sure whatever they are eating is all over the many acres and they are clustered together. But then I realize we are the same way, isn't a meal better shared in good company?
