FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | FEBRUARY 2023 53 The Four Seasons Rainbow Group continues in our mission to support the local residents who identify as LGBTQ+ and anyone else interested in our community. We usually meet on the fourth Thursday of the month in the Ballroom. We introduce new members, share stories or news that might be of interest to the membership, occasionally hold potlucks, and host themed movie nights. We will gladly entertain ideas from anyone. If you haven't signed up for our email list or feel that you did but are not receiving email, please contact us at rainbowgroup@myyahoo.com. Lastly, if you haven't already joined our Four Seasons Beaumont Rainbow Facebook group, please do so. Both avenues will keep you updated on any late-breaking developments, events, and details of our monthly activity. ~ David Esquerre Rainbow Group Platonic Pals Have you or someone you know recently moved in? Lost a partner or spouse? Become sick or disabled? Do you know someone who needs a ride to get groceries or medicine, or just needs to get out for a while to go see a movie, have lunch, or go to the store? Maybe they want someone to go to a meeting or a function at The Lodge. Perhaps someone is having a bad day and just needs a phone call or someone to stop in for a short visit to let them know someone cares. Whatever the reason, call us and we can get a pal for you or them. For more info on the Pal Program or to become a Pal, call Jonie at (661) 390-5512 or Candie at (562) 587-6591 and we will sign you up or send a pal to you. ~ Joni Truelsen The key date this month is Thursday, Feb. 2. The Club will hold our first in-person meeting. All members and everyone who expressed interest should have received meeting information. As we have said for the last few months, we are taking the Club in new directions. We plan to focus on cell phone photography for the first meetings. Howard Levine has developed an outstanding cell phone presentation. It will cover using the cell phone through proper photo techniques and post-editing. We will also explain the various types of cell phones and their capabilities. Those interested submitted one cell phone picture to introduce themselves. Please send any final photos to jacquesneddon@ gmail.com by Feb. 1. Not much time. In January, our table at the Club Fair was a great chance to meet club members, see our plans and tell us your vision for the Photography Club. Thanks to all who stopped by. We were glad to hear your ideas and comments. We continue our twice-a-month Work-Study Group Zoom meetings. If you have a photography question, you are always welcome to join us. Contact Jacque Sneddon for meeting times and dates for the Work-Study Group. This month's two colorful cell phone photographs are from Howard Levine, who will give our presentation. If you have yet to receive our emails, contact Jacque at jacquesneddon@ gmail.com. She will be glad to add you to the mailing list. ~ John Baeyertz, johnbz1453@gmail.com Photography Club Top photo: Howard Levine - Windmill Holiday Lights Bottom photo: Howard Levine – Four Seasons Holiday Lights
