Veterans Park
This is an SOS. We desperately need help — NOW! Our
club needs some members who are willing to engage in the
mandatory duties needed for survival. Any volunteer club
that needs to raise funds needs three officers: Commander,
Finance Officer, and Adjutant. Side-liners are important but
will not help our club survive.
We have had two offers of donations but cannot accept
them without a bank account and a tax-deductible account
number. Without donations, we are unable to maintain the
individual markers, the flag or activities on special veteran
days. The workload for these officers is not onerous, a
couple of hours one to three days a month.
The club will continue to meet the last Thursday of each
month in The Lodge Game Room — please attend.
February is the birth month of our country's number one
veteran — George Washington. His leadership during the
American Revolutionary War will be highlighted by flags
at the Veterans park during the month. A second set will
recall the role of railroads during the Depression and WWII
