| SUN LAKES LIFESTYLES | FEBRUARY 2023 | 27 REMINDER: Our February gathering is Feb. 4 featuring Generations, for those who have signed up and paid. Our January get-together featured the married duo of Lee and Mike Stone. They have performed for us before and the last time they were here, we made them promise to bring more of Mike's original creations as he is such a talented songwriter. They did not disappoint. They are known for their classic rock, Motown, Country Rock and a little bit of Funk, and we got a great mix of their work. Some of their songs included Whispering Your Name, Tune for Mary, B Western Cowboy and Mike's creations Queen of the Country Radio and Nearly Famous One Man Guitar Band. They are both so fun and funny that a large contributor to their success is their repartee which kept us laughing, too. Thank you Mike and Lee; you are truly a treasure! Come join or just visit our monthly gathering to socialize, enjoy a catered meal, first rate entertainment and to be pampered. It is for 80 years olds and better along with their spouses or significant others and/or guests (no matter their ages). But you're welcome if you're close in age as well. We do have people joining before their 80th birthdays… I promise, I don't check your ID and we welcome you! You can attend once without joining to actually give us a try first. We do have a good time. The March gathering will be on Sat., March 4 and our performers will be Radio Flyers. They are definitely one of the favorites for the club so get your reservations in early. The deadline for that one is Feb. 25. It will be at 3 pm in the South Clubhouse so don't forget to get your checks to Donna Harrington at 5393 Riviera. Please make your checks out to 80s Plus Club, dinners are $16 each and our dues are $10 per year. If you haven't paid your annual dues yet, they are now due.
