| SUN LAKES LIFESTYLES | FEBRUARY 2023 | 3 February is a short month and the Master Board of Directors plans to pack it full with a continuation of community improvements and maintenance. The carpet installation in the Main Clubhouse Ballroom will be completed this month. The delivery of the carpet was delayed by supply chain issues. The Board is looking forward to completing the transformation of the waterfalls this spring. The Board was pleased to award Joe Formino with the Volunteer of the Year Award at December's Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon. Joe is the chair of the Delegate Assembly and has been volunteering in our community for decades. This award will continue every year and will be called the "Joe Formino Award." Thank you Joe for being an inspiration to us all. The Board thanks all of the volunteers for their contributions in 2022 and we are always looking for additional volunteers for our advisory committees. Volunteer interest forms can be obtained at the Administration Office. Please be mindful that the volunteers on the committees are "advisors" to the Board of Directors. When advisors begin to dictate to the Board and expect or demand their every suggestion be implemented, they cease to be advisors. The next listening session will be Mon., Feb. 6 at 3:30 pm in the Sandwedge. There will be cookies and refreshments so please join us with your questions, comments, or concerns. The next Open Session Board Meeting will be Wed., Feb. 22 at 3 pm in the Main Clubhouse Ballroom and all residents are encouraged to attend. There are three openings on the Master Board the community will be filling in the upcoming election. If you would like to be a candidate for the Board of Directors, go to the Administration Office and pick up a candidate form. The form must be turned in by Feb. 8. There will be one Meet the Candidates Forum on Wed., March 1 at 4 pm in the Main Clubhouse Ballroom. The Board wishes everyone a special Valentine's Day!
