FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | MARCH 2023 51 To date, the ladies who have been attending "Believe…" Women's Bible Study are all "proverbed" up. (Yes, I made up that word.) For months we have been studying the Book of Proverbs in the Old Testament. The proverbs that readers are repeatedly counseled to avoid are: (1) not to co-sign on someone's note; (2) if a child does something that he was told not to do, that as parents we should assign that child a just punishment which teaches him consequences for inappropriate actions; (3) also we are advised (over and over, in fact) not to bear false witness, which, in my opinion, includes gossip as well. I could list all of the rich, wholesome, and righteous proverb guidelines for you here… or, I could just direct you to your Bible, Book of Proverbs, Chapters 1 through 31. You will be enriched and well-advised to study this amazing book. It's never too late to begin to learn or revisit God's guidebook for humans. Once we complete our study of Proverbs, in the first part of April, we will turn to the New Testament and the Book of Acts. Just before we began Proverbs, we were delighted to study the books written by John the Beloved (the Book of John, and 1 John, 2 John and 3 John.) Because we love our Savior so much, it was amazing to read John's words expressing his love for and devotion to Jesus as he followed Him as a disciple, apostle, and beloved friend. After Jesus' resurrection and ascension, the Book of Acts then follows the apostles' teachings, miracles, and trials as they spread the gospel of Jesus Christ, accompanied by the Holy Spirit. In the 10 years "Believe…" has been meeting, we have studied all of the books in the New Testament except Acts. In our study of the Old Testament, we tackled the smaller books (Amos, Obadiah, Jonah, Micah, Nahum, Habakkuk, Zephaniah, Haggai, Zechariah, and Malachi) as well as Psalms, Esther, Isaiah, and Daniel. Whew! We extend an open invitation to any of you beautiful Four Seasons women out there who want to join a group of extraordinary and godly women to study together the amazing and beautiful Word of God. This is a non-denominational study and any version of the Bible is acceptable to bring with you. Please join us any Friday from 10:30 to 11:45 am in The Lodge Game Room. We'll be looking for you and hope to see you soon! ~ Eileen Gilbert-Antoine, (951) 922-6829 or egcellent@msn.com "Believe…" Women's Bible Study Life After Loss Formerly the Bereavement Group In this new year, the Bereavement Group decided it needed a new name. We are now the Life After Loss Group. The reason for the change had to do with what we actually do in group. Of course, we deal with grief and mourning, but we do so much more. We discuss what the next steps may be for us. Right after a loss we can feel lost. We aren't sure what to do or when to do it. As time goes on, other questions come up. Do I continue living where I live or should I move? Should I get a job or volunteer somewhere? How soon should I go through my loved one's things? Basically, we start thinking about redefining our lives. The Life After Loss Group deals with these issues, plus we have participants who have gone through the same thing. They have a wealth of knowledge to share. If you have suffered a loss and are starting to wonder what to do with your life, you may want to join our group. What happens in the group stays in the group and we maintain a level of confidentiality. For more information, email Becky KG at beckykg_1@yahoo.com or call at (951) 524-0215. We meet the first and third Mondays of the month from 1 to 3 pm in RCN Room #3. ~ Becky Kotzin-Gustafson
