FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | MARCH 2023 33
Our Feb. 8 meeting in the Ballroom had Lupe Valdez, Senior
Director of Public Affairs, Corporate Relations of Union Pacific
Railroad as a presenter. The event had a good attendance by our
residents who had many questions.
Lupe Valdez spoke about the length of the trains and the length
of time the trains are stopped blocking roadways, such as at
Pennsylvania, California, and Veil Avenues, that have caused backups
and delays for Beaumont residents. Lupe answered our residents
questions about those delays along with other issues presented by
our residents.
Thank you to Lupe Valdez for taking the time to present the
important information and answering a multitude of questions.
Our next program will be on Wednesday, March 8 at 10 am in
The Lodge Ballroom. Our guest speaker will be Mario Janesin of
Community Access Center which is a non-profit community resource
for mature adult residents and residents with disabilities.
Mario Janesin will take questions about emergency preparedness
after the presentation and will provide "50 go bags" to the residents
who arrive while supplies last. There will be no charge for these "go
bags."
Our Neighborhood Watch Steering Committee presenter on April
12 at 10 am in the Ballroom will be John Huntsman, Environmental
Compliance Manager for the City of Beaumont. John's presentation
will be about fats, oils, and grease and the harmful effects of disposing
those materials into the sewer system. This is an important topic for
our residents who have worked hard to maintain a safe and healthy
area for us to live in.
Please be careful driving in our community. The speed limit
on Four Seasons Circle is 30 mph, 25 mph on residential streets,
including Green Creek Trail, and 15 mph in the alleys.
Thank you to our Block Captains and all our Neighborhood Watch
members for all that you do to keep our community safe. ~ Jerry
