| LIFE IN SOLERA | MARCH 2023 | 5 We need members. This committee consists of dedicated, active, and caring members of our community. They are involved in many of our clubs and groups. The ability to welcome and meet their new neighbors is a plus. As busy as they are, each member allows a couple of hours each month to attend a meeting and deliver a Welcome book to a new Solera resident. We also enjoy sponsoring a Social Gathering twice a year, April and October. Anyone who may be interested in joining this committee is invited to attend one of our monthly meetings, held on the fourth Friday of the month at 1 pm in Oakmont 3. A Volunteer Interest Form is required to be considered for this committee. ATTENTION ALL CLUBS/GROUPS: Toward the end of this month, members of this committee will begin calling you regarding your participation in our upcoming Social Gathering to be held Wed., April 26. We appreciate your participation in giving our new residents the opportunity to talk to you about your club/group. As always, please arrive at 5:45 pm and be prepared to leave by 6:40 pm. Thank you in advance. The Finance Committee will be working on the budget for our fiscal year beginning June 1. By the end of April, you will be receiving the Annual Budget in the mail. Remember there is a section in your Welcome book to keep the new report. Also, in mid-April you will receive your ballot to vote for three Board members. If you are interested in running for the Board, you have until March 6 to turn in your candidate application. You will be running for the Board, not for a particular office. The officer positions are voted on by the Board members only at the Open Session meeting in June. The annual Meeting of the Members is Wed., May 17 at 10 am. This is when the ballots are counted and the new Board members are announced. I would like to recognize the ambassadors of this committee and express appreciation for their hard work and dedication to our community: Patricia Cobb, Diane Gell, Patty Grana, Sheila Kelly, Theresa Lantz, Joanne Larson, Mary Mehlman, Becky Spalding, Sarah Tsai, and Dale Van Camp.
