Thomas and Chef Chris are working on a little something to nosh on during the evening – more details to follow. HEALTH FAIR Friday, April 28, 10:30 am to1:30 pm, Main Clubhouse Ballroom. The Recreation Department is partnering with the Visiting Nurses Association of the Inland Counties and the San Gorgonio Memorial Hospital to sponsor this worthwhile event. Cholesterol screening, spinal wellness and balance, facial massage, bone density, and blood pressure are just a few of the many preventive health issues and screenings that will be available on this day. The event is free of charge and door prizes will be given. SPRING GARAGE SALES Start cleaning out those garages for our Spring Garage Sales. Residents are asked to have any remaining items that did not sell back into their homes after the sale. Sales are 8 am to 4 pm. Dates and district participation are as follows: May 6: Districts 2, 3, 5, 7, 16, 17 • May 13: Districts 1, 4, 6, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13 • May 20: Districts 14, 15, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23. COMMUNITY SHREDDING Fri., May 19, 9 am to 12 pm, Main Clubhouse Parking Lot; $5 per box. Do you have boxes of paper just lying around taking up space? If so, we have a solution for you. This is a great way to get rid of those confidential papers that you no longer need without having to drive to a place and pay a large fee. No sign-ups are required. Just show up with your boxes. DIAMOND IS FOREVER! DIAMOND IS FOREVER! David J. Neil Diamond fans love David's dedication to the music and lyrics, but you don't have to be a Diamond fan to love this show. International recording and tribute artist David J. Sherry is recognized as one of the leaders in the interpretation and performance of Diamond's music but also for his magical performances. A charismatic showman and vocalist with the swagger, confidence, and audience connection reminiscent of Neil himself, infusing his own personality into this Vegas-style show that includes five decades of great Diamond hits. The show also features songs from David's #1 album in Europe, "Glory Road," along with a number of original songs from David's exciting new album "Comfortable Assumption." Back to Sun Lakes by popular demand, Switchback is the award-winning duo of Brian FitzGerald and Martin McCormack. Switchback draws on traditional Celtic music and original Americana songs that reflect their Irish heritage and Midwestern roots. Playing an exciting mix of mandolin, guitar, and bass, their harmonies have won them comparisons to famous duos, such as the Louvin Brothers, Everly Brothers, and Simon and Garfunkel. Music Connection Magazine said: "The words 'American Roots & Celtic Soul' only begin to describe this unusual act, whose vocal prowess is as pure as it is unique. Welcome back The Firebird Brass and enjoy their variety of jazz, classical and Big Band music including the Flight of the Tuba Bee, J.S.
