| SUN LAKES LIFESTYLES | MARCH 2023 | 39 On March 12, the Friendship Club presents "SHAKE, RATTLE, & ROLL, A Rock'n'Roll Celebration of THE KING," starring Scot Bruce, a Palm Springs-based entertainer who wows fans all over the U.S. and abroad with his unbelievable 1950s and 60s era Elvis Tribute Show. Because of his uncanny resemblance to the young King and his ability to sing, strum a guitar, and swivel his hips, his live show has taken him all over the world. As Elvis, he has appeared in music videos with Faith Hill and Sheryl Crow, and has been heard for years as the "Resident Elvis" with his pals Mark and Brian on their popular Los Angeles morning radio show (also Mark In The Morning). Scot has also appeared in recurring roles on the hit soap operas Days of Our Lives and The Bold and the Beautiful. He has had the honor of performing with the legendary Jordanaires (Elvis' original backup singers). He also performs at Disneyland on a regular basis, and one night per month at The Purple Room in Palm Springs. Sun Lakes residents are invited to join the Friendship Club and enjoy Vegas-style entertainment up close and personal. Membership fee is $25 per person for the year. Tickets for each show are $25 for members, and $30 for non-resident guests. Doors open at 6 pm with open seating, and the show begins at 7 pm. Since its inception, Paisano has had one-year membership dues of just $20. Because of rising prices, we need to raise our dues to $25. You can pay your dues by check to Carol Choisnet, (box on doorstep at 610 Torrey Pines Rd). Guests are welcome one time without paying dues. Drop off your checks, made out to Paisano, in an envelope with your name and the friends you want to sit with to Carol Choisnet.
