That means our See's Candies for Easter will be on sale soon. Look for the See's table near the Lounge in the Main Clubhouse as follows: Wed., March 29, from 11 am to 5 pm and Thurs., March 30 through Sat., April 1, from 11 am to 3 pm. Dates and times are also posted on our display board just across from the Main Clubhouse Library. If you have questions, call Janie Haughn at (909) 556-0577. Also, if you expect to have a large order, she's happy to take pre-orders so you'll be sure to get everything you want. Beckie Levers, Master Gardener of University of California Continuing Education, did a program for us in 2016. In February this year, she gave us a masterful presentation about California native and drought tolerant plants. Native gardens are sustainable, water saving, and provide a habitat for pollinators. They are ideally adapted to the local climate, soil types, and wildlife of the region resulting in several gardening advantages. Research indicates that native wildlife has a marked preference for native plants. We're excited to try something new in March. Instead of a formal presentation, we're offering a Garden Club Activities Day featuring our several committees represented by each of the chairpersons who serve on our Board. The committee chairs will be available to answer questions and explain what the committee does and what is involved. The hope is to interest our members, especially new members, in participating as a committee member or maybe even becoming a chairperson. We will instate new committees and reinstate some that have dissolved over the years. Guests are always welcome to attend one of our meetings which are on the second Wednesday of every month at 10 am in the Main Clubhouse Ballroom (unless otherwise announced). Dates for the next few months are Mar. 8, April 5, May 10, and June 14. Dues are only $15 a year. Our President, Beverly Agner, at (951) 306-7379 is always ready to answer your questions.
