Woodchucks
Woody Woodchuck emerged from his burrow on the 14th hole
overlooking the lake. Normally a beautiful ocean view, today the
Marine Layer (AKA fog) obscured it. NO SHADOW! Woody returned
to his burrow and changed into his sawdust-covered overalls. "It's
going to be a beautiful spring" he said to himself (Woodchucks can't
actually speak, duh).
We are inviting you to emerge from your burrow, and maybe even
create some sawdust at the Woodchucks workshop. If you are not
already a member, you can take a check for $10 to the Clubhouse
front desk. They have the necessary forms for you to fill out. After
watching the required safety and orientation videos, you will be
presented with a name badge and be given the code to the shop door.
Please don't be intimidated by the impressive collection of machinery
- a fellow Woodchuck will walk you through/help you overcome any
anxiety. Hopefully you will be inspired to start that long-overdue
dream, accomplish some Honey-Do's, or even join us making holiday
season toys for the children of Camp Pendleton.
Not only is the Woodchucks a fun recreation, but the Club also
continues its efforts to serve the OHCC Community; we supply
security window rods for our neighbors, and ask a Club officer if you
need a wheelchair ramp built for your access.
