A reminder of all the beautiful items you can make when you take up knitting and/or crocheting. Our knitters and crocheters have various levels of skill and always willing to share tips and advice if asked. Our ladies enjoy friendship and chat about all kinds of subjects beyond our craft. If interested, come sit in on our group which meets Thursdays, 10 am to 12 am. ~ Caryl K, (951) 524-0342 KNIT AND CROCHET CLUB QUILTERS Finally, Daylight Saving Time! More daylight to quilt. Our group is busy making wonderful things to share with friends and family, and donate to local charities. It's how we choose to spend our leisure hours, and we just love it. Getting together to learn different techniques and laugh and snack, is just part of the fun. This month we'll be getting together on a Saturday for several hours of what we call a quilting "blitz." Just sewing what we want with our friends. We'll try to include pictures of our projects each month, so look for them. | LIFE IN SOLERA | APRIL 2023 | 35 The Sunshine Club again wants to thank all community members for their support with our recycling efforts. All plastic water bottles, juice and tea drink bottles, with their lids removed, as well as all aluminum cans (for which you paid the redemption fee) are recyclable for cash. Each recyclable item is clearly imprinted on its label or side with the words CA-CRV or CA CASH REFUND. Other plastic containers such as milk, 100% juices, peanuts, coffee, and mouthwash as well as metal cans other than aluminum are not recyclable for cash and should go in your recycle container supplied by Waste Management. Just a reminder that when you go to pick up your mail, be sure and notice our yellow Sunshine Box located on the table in the Mail Room. This is where you can just drop off the information for resident(s) who are sick or have experienced a death in the family. You can also help us to put a little more Sunshine back into the community by joining us at our meetings on the third Wednesday of the month at 1 pm in the Arts & Crafts Room in the Clubhouse. If you have any questions, you may contact Judy Charlick at (951) 769-6464. SUNSHINE CLUB Quilt by Penny Wyckoff
