Join us Mondays as we knit, crochet, quilt, cross stitch, and more, on various projects of our own. Seeing what others are working on and creating is half the fun. We meet Mondays in the North Clubhouse at 12:30 pm. The second Monday of each month we share our yarn and supplies, swapping them around, and on the last Monday of each month we share a potluck lunch. Sun Lakes Quilters Sew What? Club I think we are all ready to welcome April after the long, frigid months we have had. It is time to think about spring activities and projects. Elaine Perkins has taken on the task of bringing our group's own scrapbook up to date. It has been neglected since before the pandemic. We have been going through pictures of various past birthdays and holiday parties to add to the album. One of our recent birthday celebrations was well attended and everyone enjoyed the Valentine- themed luncheon (at right). We are a group of like-minded ladies who enjoy crafting of all kinds. Having a specific time and place to meet enables us to work on our projects and get them done effortlessly. If you have an unfinished craft at home due to lack of motivation to complete it, come in and chat with us. It may just be the incentive you need to revitalize your passion. Most things are more fun in groups! We celebrate birthdays each month, which gives many of us a chance to be creative with our cardmaking and share the techniques we have used. We will meet on the following days this month: Mon., April 3 in the Bus Room, and Mondays, April 17 and 24, in the Multipurpose Room. Our meeting times are from 1 to 3 pm. Thurs., April 13 will be our birthday luncheon in the Atrium at 11 am. There will be no meeting the week of April 10. There are no dues for the Paper Crafting group. Paper Crafting All ladies interested in sewing are encouraged to attend our Sew What? Club meetings the first and third Tuesdays in the Arts & Crafts Room from 12:30 to 2:30 pm. Sun Lakes Mudslingers We meet every Tuesday from 3 to 6 pm and Fridays from 9 am to 12 pm in the Arts & Crafts Room. No prior experience is needed. Month- to-month sign up is allowed, so no lengthy commitment. We do have space limitations though. Right now there is room for a few more budding artists. If you ever wanted to play in the mud or learn to use the wheel, now is your chance. The cost is $70 per month and includes all supplies and materials needed. Just bring yourself and have fun.
