DID YOU
MISS IT?
By Valorie Hillerich
The Philadelphia Eagles versus the Kansas City Chiefsā¦it was
a big day for both! According to Activities Director, Kara Hardy,
a record number 100 fans gathered in The Colony Auditorium to
watch Super Bowl LVII.
A Super Bowl fun fact is that this game is among the world's
most-watched single sporting events and frequently commands
the largest audience among all American broadcasts during the
year. Another fun fact: the Super Bowl is also the second-largest
event for American food consumption, behind Thanksgiving
dinner!
Both facts were true as Colony football fans mingled and visited
with one another while cheering for both the Philadelphia Eagles
and the Kansas City Chiefs. Residents gave the Auditorium a
tailgating feel with spreads of delicious food and beverages, all in
a football-themed party atmosphere. The event also included a
buffet of pizza, hot dogs, green salad, and a variety of soft drinks
provided by The Colony.
The game was a nail-biter from start to finish. But in the end,
the Kansas City Chiefs proved victorious over the Philadelphia
Eagles, 38-35. All in all, it was another fun Colony event. See you
next year!
