The inaugural party for the summer
season is right around the corner…
Cinco de Mayo. Cinco de Mayo isn't the
Mexican independence day, but it is a
celebration that marked the defeat of
the French army by Mexican forces. It
has become universally a festival, or
plainly put, a party. Cinco de Mayo
celebrations are characterized by the
splash of swirling colors of dancing
women dresses and the characteristic
musical rhythms of guitars, violins,
and brass instruments. Incorporate all
of this with the stomping of boots and
dance slippers. It makes for a grand
time to party.
So too, it will be the same at Four
Seasons on Sat., May 6. The Plaza will
be transformed to a fiesta atmosphere
for this party. Mariachi Zapata band
and the Bailes de mi Tierra Folklorico
dance group will be here to assist us in
this fiesta. A disc jockey will provide
preliminary and favorite dancing music.
A grilled chicken plate with rice, beans,
salsa, and tortillas is included in the
ticket price of $25. Margarita mixer will
be available for your favorite tequila, or
bring your favorite cerveza or sangria.
Doors open at 5 pm on the day of the
event. Tickets go on sale beginning
March 29.
Drop your sombrero and let us do the
Mexican Hat Dance together!
