| Four Seasons Hemet Herald | APRIL 2023 | 3 General Manager's Message By Rick Ruth, CMCA The Annual Membership Meeting is April 26: This year's Annual Meeting will be held to elect three Directors. A reminder, there are two meeting times, 10 am and 1 pm. The 10 am meeting will allow the Board of Directors to open the meeting, allow the Inspector of Election to establish a quorum and close the polls. The meeting will then be adjourned at 1 pm to allow the Nominations Committee and their volunteers adequate time to open the green and white envelopes. The volunteers count and tabulate the votes for the Inspector of Election, who will certify the results. You are welcome to attend the 10 am meeting and it will be a very short meeting (five to 10 minutes). The meeting will re-convene at 1 pm. The Ballots will be mailed out later this month so please look for them. If you haven't submitted your ballot (green envelope) by the time you are reading this, please do so by 10 am on April 26 so it can be included in the count! We need to establish a quorum or the meeting has to be rescheduled. We appreciate everyone's participation in this important event. Because there are three candidates running for the three open positions, we know who will represent the Association on the Board for the next two years. Please take a moment to thank them for volunteering to serve the community. It is a big commitment of time and energy and they deserve our gratitude for stepping up. Guests entering the community: At March's Access Control meeting, Breanda the Post Commander reported on recent issues with guests being checked in and observed verbally abusing the front gate attendants. This issue has several layers to it. First… residents who do not register their guests in dwellingLIVE. This causes the line to back up because the attendant has to call the resident and they don't have time to do this. If you are not able to log them in dwellingLIVE, PLEASE CALL The Lodge, DON'T CALL THE FRONT GATE! (Sorry about the caps!) Secondly and more importantly, the guests are not providing the attendant with the residents name, address, or street name and now the attendant has to guess where they are going (as the line backs up and those guests waiting get impatient). The matter of guests who were reported (and observed on camera) verbally abusing the attendant and management has been addressed with the residents. The Access Committee has instructed Securitas to turn away any guest who becomes abusive and report it to The Lodge. Please remind your guests to be courteous and make sure they know at least your name and address when they arrive at the gate. Improving your home or planning on painting, landscaping or installing solar? Please take a few minutes and reach out to Maria Donti at (951) 325-8188 during weekday business hours. Maria can help you begin the approval process. A few minutes going over your plans or the approved paint schemes will save you time, money, and aggravation during the application process. Have a safe month.
