8 | Four Seasons Hemet Herald | APRIL 2023 | Last spring, the Board of Directors sent out a community survey for your input. Below is the current action as a result of your input. Survey responses relating to gate security and roving patrol received the second highest comments. Overwhelmingly, our residents are happy to be living in a community that has gate personnel and a roving patrol. We met with the post commander to develop a schedule for the deployment of roving patrol. Please be assured that roving patrol does indeed have a scheduled route with check points that are monitored. Occasionally, the route may incur a detour if called upon to assist a resident or gate guard. The back gate does not have personnel full time; however, the roving patrol does incorporate the back gate into its schedule. Using the gatehouse to write up reports gives an additional presence and security. The issue of speeding has been an ongoing concern for many years. In 2021, speed humps were placed on World Cup Drive to discourage speeders. Though we may not enjoy the looks, size, or feel of the humps; data shows that they work. The same can be said about the stop sign at Beth Page and Four Seasons Blvd. The Access Committee has been looking at various traffic calming devices and has been surveying different areas of our community to assess speeding concerns. They will present their findings to the Board of Directors soon. The Bistro committee has been working with Francisco to diversify the menu offerings regarding vegetarian and vegan meals. Several have been offered and were well received. Francisco is always willing to work with customers in preparing meals. Just ask. Survey respondents asked for more benches, and they are now ready for use. Enjoy taking a rest during your walk or sitting and appreciating the out of doors. Thanks for the suggestions. We love our dogs, and they need to be exercised, however practicing proper dog etiquette by picking up dog waste has become a problem. Some dog owners are throwing dog waste into the bushes. This causes an unhealthy environment for pets and residents. The newly formed Paws Club is also concerned with this problem, so please be responsible for your own dog's waste by taking it to a waste receptacle.
