| Four Seasons Hemet Herald | APRIL 2023 | 9 Doggie Doo Dos – and Don'ts! It often seems like the most appreciative audience for the Landscape Committee comes from the canine residents of Four Seasons. They diligently check each blade of grass, take measure of the trim on every shrub, and inspect the walking paths and sidewalks in the community. Sadly, a few residents on the other end of the leash aren't quite as well-behaved – and some are ill-mannered and rude. Our landscapers regularly are forced to deal with doggie waste left out in the open or carefully bagged caches of waste tucked behind trees and bushes. Residents on the other side of the walls lining Four Seasons Boulevard report seeing bags of doggie waste on their side of the wall. Neither of these situations is warranted. Disposing of pet waste is not part of the landscape maintenance contract, nor should it be. Tossing pet waste over the wall is unacceptable and not the type of behavior that Four Seasons residents should tolerate. Legally, pet owners who do not bag and dispose of their pet's waste are subject to a $25 to $200 fine. So far, there hasn't been a need to spend our valuable resources tracking down negligent pet owners. However, with the recent large uptick in noncompliance, we may look at options to recommend to the Board for dealing with negligent pet owners. To the pet owners who conscientiously bag and properly dispose of their pet's waste — we thank you. Keep up the good work and know that we appreciate it. To those who continue to disregard the requirements of picking up after your pets (by taking and disposing of dog poop at your own home) may result in fines and other Board approved actions. Landscape Committee IT'S SPRING, TIME TO PLANT The topic for this month: Keeping Four Seasons beautiful. First of all, the members of this committee would like to commend our residents for the continuing effort they put forth in helping our community stay beautiful and a place we can all call home. Many projects have been completed in Four Seasons over the past year and it is always nice to see a newly painted home, a new fence installed, or the fresh look of a manicured lawn with a new arrangement of flowers and shrubs. Keep up the good work, residents. Our community will continue to attract new residents, and our home values will continue to look bright for the future. The better the condition your home is in, the more value you will realize when selling. It is your home and we hope that all your home improvement projects go smoothly without any problems. Remember that most projects in the front of your home require ARC approval. That being said, it may be wise that you consult with a licensed contractor before you start any project. Another contractor may give you a more attractive price than that of the licensed contractor, but that may not be the best path to take. It is always best to obtain at least two or three estimates for just about any project. Should you have any questions regarding your application for work being done at your home, you can contact your Architectural Assistant, Maria Donti, at (951) 325-8188 or maria.donti@fsresidential.com. Architectural Review Committee Facilities Committee I recently walked our paseo pathways marveling in the beauty of our community enjoying the aftermath of our recent rains. I began to note how each of us makes use of all the different amenities in our community. Because of these amenities, our homes have retained their value and remain in demand. As has been noted in previous articles here in the Herald, the Facilities Committee plays a large part in the maintenance and repair of our common use areas. The committee has taken the responsibility to regularly inspect our common areas from the solar lighting along the pathways to the carpet in the Ballroom, the pool and spa area, and the workout room. The committee notes any safety issues such as a lifted sidewalk or a light bollard that needs repair. Issues are reported to our management team allowing them to respond quickly to any repairs or needed maintenance. As you take advantage of our amenities, remember all of the volunteer hours spent to make sure our community remains the brightest gem in Diamond Valley. ~ Pam Hayter
