20 20 | Four Seasons Hemet Herald | APRIL 2023 | | Four Seasons Hemet Herald | APRIL 2023 | Greetings folks! At the time of this writing (March 7), your Four Seasons Players club is enjoying rehearsals of the Pulitzer Prize finalist play Love Letters set for March 25. Along with some of our stellar veteran performers, we are especially proud that this play will feature our newest member, Sandy Lubbers. This Herald edition is the absolute perfect time to share some background on this lovely, vivacious and just down-right charming lady. So please enjoy her bio below. And stay tuned for next month's Herald which hopefully will feature a picture or two from Love Letters! Sandra (Sandy) Alvarez Lubbers: After a 40- year career in fund development (fundraiser), Sandy officially retired two years ago, although she still enjoys providing occasional pro bono services to charities needing philanthropic assistance and guidance. Sandy's newfound free time is often spent traveling, reading, gardening, singing, meeting new friends and establishing new friendships. And of course enjoying quality time with her partner, Al Garces. She's the proud mother of three sons and blessed with two beautiful granddaughters. While she still maintains her residence in Glendora, since her retirement, she relishes the increased time she is now able to spend here at Four Seasons. REMEMBER: We are always looking for new members or even just curious guests to stop in at our meetings. Club meetings are held the third Friday of each month at 1 pm in the Ballroom. Your interest and inquiries are always welcome. Please call Victoria Tarabochia at (951) 473-3235. Four Seasons Players We thought we would do something different this month! Come early and decorate your table, maybe something to welcome spring. The TGIF committee will award the best table with a prize. Bring a dish to share for eight to 10, your own utensils, dishes and beverage of choice. If you are concerned about sharing the buffet, you may bring your own dinner. Bring your own table settings (plates, silverware, napkins, and beverage of choice). Come enjoy an evening of dining, raffle prizes, dancing, and karaoke (for those of us who like to sing). All residents are welcome and we look forward to meeting new and old friends on the first Friday of every month. TGIF/Karaoke Book Club All readers interested in great discussions, occasional guest speakers, and movies, join us the third Monday of every month at 2 pm. Our book for April is The Only Woman In The Room by Marie Benedict. We meet at my house 669 Weir Drive. Hope to see all of you. Any questions, contact Vicki Allen-Hitt at (951) 926-6336 or email vhitt@hotmail.com. Sandy Lubbers with partner, Al Garces
