Shows are April 25 or May 2 in The Lodge Theater at 6 pm. An American doctor and his wife, a former singing star, witness a murder and are drawn into a twisting plot of international intrigue. While attending a medical conference in Paris, American physician Dr. Ben McKenna (James Stewart), his wife, retired musical theater actress and singer Jo McKenna née Conway (Doris Day), and their adolescent son Hank McKenna decide to take a side trip to Marrekesh, French Morocco. While touring in Africa, they meet the mysterious Louis Bernard on a bus ride. The next day, Bernard is murdered in the local marketplace. Before he dies, he manages to reveal details to them of an assassination of a statesman about to take place in London. Fearing that their plot will be revealed, the assassins kidnap Hank in order to keep the McKennas silent. Ben and Jo head to London to try and thwart the assassination attempt and, more importantly, to find son Hank. Scotland Yard has some information about an assassination attempt on someone but prove to be no help to Ben and Jo. The couple takes matters into their own hands and figure out a way to get their son back. ~ Paul Plamondon, 4seasonsmoviegroup@gmail.com The club has screenings on the second and fourth Sundays of the month.
