The Domino Club had a tie for the month of February. Three people tied with 16 wins each. Leroy Wright, Reggie Fugua, and Vernon Bell were the winners. Congratulations guys. Leroy and Reggie have been absent for a while, but they are back with a vengeance. They are both great players. So, domino players sharpen your playing skills; you've got competition. We play every Wednesday and Friday from 6 to 9 pm in the Game Room. Come and join us. I am happy to teach anyone who wishes to learn to play Pan, either individually or in a small group — your home or mine. Pan is a card game, much on the order of Gin in some respects, that is played with up to eight people at a table. It is played by both men and women, so all are welcome. The game is played during the day or in the evening in The Lodge or in a private home. As with all card games, it is played with both skill and luck. ~ Linda Mendelson Pan We play hearts every Tuesday at 6 pm in The Lodge Game Room. We welcome new players. If you don't know how to play, we'll be happy to teach you. Seating is done by random card draw. Try your luck at getting all the hearts plus the queen of spades. That takes 26 points off of your score, or if you choose, as 26 points to all the other players at the table. The jack of diamonds takes 10 points off of your score. Lowest score wins. There have been the usual 'faithfuls' but we would love to see more join us to play this fun game. Snacks are provided. The goal is to complete the 10 phases that are established for the game one round at a time. These phases include 'sets' of cards (all the same number) and 'runs' (cards in a sequence). We sure miss seeing friends and making new ones while playing this fun, fast-paced game. We play in the Game Room at The Lodge on Mondays from 2 to 4 pm.
