10 SOLERA DIAMOND VALLEY | APRIL 2023 Mardi Gras By Kathy Caraher, Resident If you haven't, give it a try! It is one of the first new restaurants in Hemet and it warrants our patronage. Between the décor and the menu, it offers something for everyone. Due to COVID and other factors, we waited a long time for it to open. The exterior has the look of a real ranch home on the range. Beautiful metal sculptures of a stagecoach and wild horse welcome you to the modern rustic restaurant. There is lots of parking in the back lot. Once inside you feel you could be on a ranch in the wilds of Montana or Wyoming. Walls are of split timbers straight off a mill saw. Beautiful metal sculptures catch your eye. One objection for some is the mounted trophies of an old-time game hunt. Hopefully, they were taken for sustenance and not just for décor. There is a bar area, dining area and a separate room for groups. I have experienced each and all were wonderfully comfortable, even the tooled leather benches are unique. They have a quality menu including one for kids and one for adults: lunch or dinner. There is a price point for every budget. The lunch menu consists of braised pot-roast, sandwiches, burgers, and salad type meals. I have had the French dip and more than once ordered it to go. The dinner menu includes seafood, Ranch steaks, Ribeye, Tri-Tip and Prime Rib… hearty meals that include a choice of two sides. You can start with an amazing selection of appetizers. The bar serves cocktails, wine, and beer: draft, cans, and bottles. And before you leave… order up some desert! Whether to-go or eat in, the pies are truly classics. And my little secret: the huge chocolate chip cookies with macadamia nuts! HAVE YOU BEEN TO THE ROCKING K RANCH RESTAURANT?
