We had great weather for our Paddle Tournament on April 7.
We had 16 players and our winners were Darla Gonzalez for the
Women and Bruce Ray for the Men. Congratulations to them and
thank you everyone for coming out for the fun competition! A big
Thank You goes to Scott Daniels for hosting the breakfast.
In mid-April, The Colony began to play in USTA competitions
again. The team consists of Captain Tammy Holmes, Jeanne
Bender, Susie Britton, Chuck Gordon, Bruce Copeland, Pat Kight
and Charlie Rychwalski. Come on out to the courts to enjoy some
good tennis and cheer on The Colony team! For more information

Paddle Tennis will be sponsoring a clinic at 10 am on Thursday,
May 11. There is no charge to participate, and we have paddles you
can use. All you need are tennis shoes. Call Ellen Micheli at 951-
600-8001 or Karen Nichols at 619-550-8194 to sign up. We look
forward to helping you learn this fun and engaging sport.
Don't forget: Our next Racquet Club dinner date has been
changed to Saturday, May 20, so please join us at 5:30 pm in the
Auditorium. The Ladies potluck lunch will be as usual on the
second Wednesday of the month, May 10, at 11:30 am in the
Lounge. The monthly Paddle Tournament will be the morning of
Friday, May 5, the first Friday of the month.
