We wish to thank the residents who participated in our 2nd Annual Earth Day Garden Tour. We could not have done it without you! Thank you also to the guests who visited the gardens; we hope you enjoyed meeting folks and getting some landscaping ideas. If you did not get a chance to tour the gardens, we will have a slideshow presentation at our Tuesday, May 23 meeting at 1 pm in the Annex. We are also working on some fun field trips and events for the remainder of the year. Come bloom with us! Petal Pushers Garden Club By Brenda Sindorf, Gloria Brosky and Jane Payne | THE COLONY NEWS | MAY 2023 | 31 We are now offering free beginner ukulele classes Fridays at 10 am in the Annex. We will be providing music and ukuleles for those who do not have them. The ukulele is an easy instrument to learn to play, and no previous musical experience is necessary. Class space will be limited, so if you are interested, please call or text me at 949-468-7375. Our regular group continues to meet each Friday in the Annex at 1 pm. Strummers By Judy Moore, 949-468-7375 Did you know that The Colony has a club/group for single adults that meets once a month to socialize and, after a short meeting, enjoys a catered dinner and entertainment? It is not at all a dating event, but instead much more like a dinner club. There is an annual membership fee of $15. We have a 50/50 drawing that supports three organizations: Murrieta Food Pantry, St. Martha's Pantry and the Salvation Army. We also do food drives for the pantries. Consider trying it out. We meet on the second Monday of each month at 5 pm. If you would like more information, call or text President Gail Rosselli, 714-313- 9100. Colony Singles By Cheryl Lange, 951-970-5256
