FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | MAY 2023 47 Games! Games! Games! At our March event The Crown Divas played Mexican Train, Three Thirteen and Bingo. We started off with some delicious appetizers and beverages. Next, raffle prizes were won by lucky ticket holders. Now it was time to get serious. Which game to play? If you watched the ladies playing Mexican Train you would see them quietly concentrating and strategically placing the dominoes. If you watched the ladies playing Three Thirteen, you would see them looking at their cards and smiling while quietly speaking to one another. Bingo was another story. Ladies would be intensely looking at their cards hoping their numbers would be called. Whether they won or lost at each round you would hear loud chatter and laughter among the ladies. There were prizes for the winners donated by the Divas. On the bright side, we are busy planning a trip in July to the beach or a harbor. We will let you know as soon as plans are final. We are also trying to schedule a trip to the turbine windmills. We have a call into them waiting for a response. We also want to book a trip for the theater and one for a day at Farmers Market and the Grove. We have looked over the suggestion list and we are trying to book the requested trips. We will try to book a trip every couple of months, depending on the availability of the buses. Check your emails often. Irene sends out announcements on any trips and updates, and don't forget to mark your calendar to save the date for our "Welcome to Hollywood" extravaganza.
