QUILTERS
KNIT & CROCHET CLUB
Our group is busy making wonderful things to share with friends
and family, and donate to local charities. It's how we choose to spend
our leisure hours, and we just love it. Getting together to learn different
techniques, laugh, and snack, is just part of the fun. Below is another
beautiful quilt from the Solera Quilters. This one is by Gladys Solvey.
Join us to learn how to make your own beautiful quilt!
Being a knitter or crocheter means you accumulate a "stash!" You
spot a beautiful yarn or come upon yarn on sale and just can't resist
even though you may or may not have a project in mind. Gifted yarn
appears on our Club day also. Our members all have a stash and
different yarns can be fingerling for shawls and socks, double knit for
garments, bulky for afghans. Patterns for your "stash" can be found
in books, on the internet, or borrowed from fellow crafters. And as
a crafter, it is such a feeling of accomplishment when you complete
a project for yourself, family, friends, or a charity. Interested in our
hobby? Come visit the Knit and Crochet group on Thursdays from
10 to 12. For more info, call Caryl Kay at (951) 524-0342.
