Joan Blumenfeld, President of Social Singles, is inviting all Social Singles members to celebrate her 90th birthday at the May Social Singles meeting on Fri., May 19. No visitors or guests for this special meeting. Dinner by Thomas Catering and choices are BBQ pork ribs or Chicken Marsala, corn on the cob, baked beans, potato salad, and French bread. Dessert from Bob the Baker. Be sure to notify Barbara Semic before May 11 of your choice of ribs or chicken. Doors open at 5:15 pm, a short meeting at 5:30 pm, and then enjoy dinner and live entertainment provided by Radio Flyers. No gifts please, as this is a gathering of her Social Singles friends to help celebrate Joan's 90th birthday. Young at Heart Okay Young at Heart members, I think we are done with the rain and finally are getting some much-needed sunshine. Our hockey game event at Acrisure Arena was such a fun time. Even though our Coachella Valley Firebirds didn't win, it was a wonderful and exciting event. May 7, 1:30 check in, 2 pm shotgun: Siete de Mayo golf scramble/ tacos and margaritas on the Executive Course/North Clubhouse. Cost is $20 per person for a golfer (includes dinner and prize money, $15 for non-golfer for dinner). If you are not an annual member, you will need to pay green fees. You may pick your foursome; however, you must have one woman in the foursome. Future Events June 24: Dark due to Charity week July 29: Luau in the North Clubhouse, $25 per person.
