All briefs and responses have been submitted by both parties to
Judge Craig Riemer. Judge Riemer is the assigned Judge presiding
over the Pass Action Group (PAG) vs. Banning Point Warehouse
project and a hearing date has been set for November 17, 2023. We are
cautiously optimistic that our attorneys have presented a compelling
rebuttal to the responses from the developer and the city of Banning.
More details of the hearing will be released as they become available.
The PAG held a remarkably successful "FUNraiser" on March 26
at the Sun Lakes South Clubhouse with a catered dinner, games,
costumes and lots of fun. Tickets sold out in a matter of days due to
the wonderful and continued support of our community. Thank you
to all the volunteers that put this fabulous event on. Also, sponsoring
the event were Grocery Outlet and Home Depot in Beaumont, their
donations helped make this a successful fundraiser. We would like
to thank Johnny Russo's Italian Kitchen for the great pricing on the
meal.
Watch for more information on our next Town Hall Meeting. It
is currently scheduled for Sun., June 25 at 4 pm in Main Clubhouse
Ballroom. Additionally, on July 29 we will be holding a "Social Event"
on the Sun Lakes driving range during the "Music under the Stars."
More information on both events will be out soon.
In the meantime, the PAG is continuing our efforts to thwart the
building of a 600,000+ square foot warehouse across from the Sun
Lakes Country Club main gate just east of Highland Springs Ave.
Please note that donations are still being requested to fight this
warehouse. Go to PassActionGroup.org for more information or
